Appointments

Dear Friends:

Did you know that LGBTQ+ elected officials make up only 0.13 percent of all elected officials nationwide? We understand that the elected life isn’t for everyone, but did you know that you can be appointed by the State of California to a California State Board or a California State Commission? The California Legislative LGBTQ Caucus wants to encourage all LGBTQ+ folks to apply. As you know, representation matters and it is important for the LGBTQ+ community to be represented on the State Boards and Commissions that make important decisions for California citizens. See the different opportunities below. After you complete an application, email us at calgbtq@gmail.com to let us know. We want to support you!
Application processes may vary for each Board and Commissions. All positions will be publically available on the websites of the Governor, the Speaker of the Assembly, and all California State Departments.
