Ariana Bates

Ariana Bates is a 26 year veteran high school counselor and yoga teacher working in south east Los Angeles at Paramount HS. She is the Unity Club GSA co-advisor which has been going strong at PHS for 31 years! In 2011, Ariana founded the Unity Day conference for the community that focuses on LGBTQ+ Resources, Suicide Prevention and Wellness. She is also proud of her work as a Counselor and helping co-write the district’s first suicide prevention handbook and work on the crisis team.
